Our Puppy's Hospital Visit

So on Friday when I was driving home from work I was thinking about how I was going to have my full attention on Waffles and potty training her and getting her to understand simple commands. So when I got home I went to the back door to let her in and she was laying in her dog house and didnt want to come out. When I opened the door and called her she came over to me slowly. She looked deathly skinny and I know she wasnt like that yesterday and I called Correy to ask him if he forgot to feed her or something and he said that he fed her. So I decided to try and feed her again. She ate slowly and couldnt really stay standing and was really worrying me. I was hoping all she needed was some food and water and she would be back to her old self. But she only seemed to be getting worse so I called the vet and they said that it might be parvo and to bring her in right away. I hurried and gathered up some stuff and drove to the vet. They ran the parvo test and the good new is it wasnt parvo, bu

Thanksgiving

Image
So our Thanksgiving did not go as planned. Before we planned to go to Wyoming to be with Correy's sister and her family and then go down to Salt Lake for Black Friday shopping. Well the whole week of Thanksgiving it decided to snow, and snow hard. And it was only getting worse, especially the day before Thanksgiving and the roads to Wyoming got really bad and we would have been driving in the dark so we opted to stay home. Which meant a one day notice to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. So we ran to the store and bought the smallest turkey we could find, which was still 12 pounds, then bought rolls since I burned the ones I made the day before, ingredients for yams and potatoes and pumpkin pie, then cheesecake stuff, and of course the olives, cranberry, sauce, cheese log and some beverages. Then we just sat the turkey on the counter to thaw overnight, and of course we didnt read the directions on how to properly thaw the turkey. The next morning we got up around 8 or 9 and set to work,

The Busy Month of November

So now it is half way through November and we still have yet to have snow that sticks, and only a few storms. When last year the first snow that stuck was in October. In a way it is good because of all the driving I have to do, and I have yet to buy snow boots and a snow coat. But I really want it to snow so that Correy and I can build a snowman, go sledding, and all those fun things you can do in the winter. Correy and I have been busy with work and plans for trying to remodel the basement. We finally have found a stove, which means we are going to be starting on the kitchen soon, but hopefully after we finish up a few more things. This weekend we really hope to at least get the bathroom painted. So we will see how it goes. Next Wednesday we will be leaving for Wyoming for Thanksgiving. And so this will be my first Thanksgiving away from my family and the first one as a married women who has to make food. So we will see how it goes. Then we are going Black Friday shopping in Salt Lake

Fall is Coming to an End

October 22-24 So we were lucky enough to go to Wyoming for a weekend to see Amber, Justin, Presly and Suzi and Alex were there too. We basically spent the week visiting with one another and we also went to go see the movie, Life as We Know it, which I totally recommend. Although Presly did the cutest thing when we were riding home from Ihop. Presly was sitting in her car seat playing with her shoe, and Justin changed the radio station from country to rap, and Presley immediately looked up and then started bobbing her head like crazy, it was so funny. Halloween!!!! So if you didnt know Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love all the fall colors and the pumpkins. I really went crazy when decorating. I got pumpkin soap and cream to put in the bathroom along with a rubber duck dressed as a pumpkin. Although it also was kind of sad because Halloween is a kids holiday and since our nephew moved away we dont have any small children to take trick or treating. I think that it will defiantly be

Weekend in Provo

Image
So this last weekend was the first weekend that Correy and I have spent our married life away from each other. He went hunting with some friends and since I didnt want to be home alone I thought that it was the perfect day to go down to Provo to see my best friend every. This was also my first time driving a distance by myself. The drive went smoothly and I was cutting time and thought that I would be there in no time. And as soon as I got 10 miles out of town I hit the construction and so the last ten miles of my trip took me 40 minutes to drive. But finally I got there. And I got IN N OUT, yum something I have been craving and so excited to get. Then later that night I went to Provo Canyon with Heather and some friend, and then some random people where we started a bonfire and made smores. Then around 12:30 a popo showed up and told us that the park closed 3 hours ago, when really it closed at 11. So we had to put out the fire when we had no water . . . lets just say that we found a

Finally getting around to updating everything

Image
So much has been going on and my time has been spent doing so much. So we are all moved in, well sort of, as much as we can right now. The bedroom is all unpacked and we have made one of the bedrooms into an office with our computers and printer and stuff. But also it has become out storage room with a bunch of our boxes, mainly kitchen stuff and memorabilia and craft things. Our kitchen consists of a fridge, microwave, conventional oven, small counter space and a bunch of boxes. Right now the search is on for cheap kitchen cabinets that we can find second hand. And then a dishwasher and a oven. The bathroom was the first thing we set up, with a new sink and counter space, which is great because our washer and dryer is right there and it makes folding clothes so much easier. See how beautiful. And under the counter where there is nothing in the picture I have put a basket for all of our cleaning supplies. We bought a greenish color of paint to paint the bathroom area, but first we hav

Week with the Family (August 3-7)

Image
Week with the Family (August 3rd to 7th) So life has been hectic and not having internet at our apartment has made it hard to keep up with blogging. But not I will have internet all the time, YIPPEE!!!! Well at the beginning of the month I had my family come and visit. My mom and little brother, Parker came up on Tuesday afternoon after dropping my sister off at EFY in Provo. When they got here, Correy and I took them out to Chinese for lunch, and then Correy went back to work as we went to the Potato Museum. Which was way fun, I love it there, it is my favorite Museum ever. Then we came home and kind of just relaxed, Parker played the Xbox which he loved. And then when we were getting a little bored we went out and fed the horses. Which they got a kick out of because in California you dont normally have horses in your backyard. Then Wednesday we had a big day. We drove into Idaho Falls for the day. We started off with going to the zoo which I had never been to. I

Time to Get in Shape

So Correy and I have decided to start eating healthier, with less fast food and to exercise more. We both have bought new running shoes and are trying to go on nightly walks of at least a mile. Although it has turned into every other day instead because something or other always seems to come up. We try to go right after dinner and then we walk till it gets too dark to walk. So how far we walk depends on what time Correy gets home from work. It is really nice, because we take the dogs and we get to have family time without all the distractions you have at home. And as far aseating better, we have been the past few days and plan on keeping it up, although this next week could be hard because we are going to be out of town and then my mom and little brother are going to be intown.

To Move or not to Move is the Question

Image
So Correy and I have been looking more and more into moving and have finally decided that it is going to happen. It is just a matter of when and where. When have really been looking into two different areas, Rock Springs, Wyoming and St George, Utah. When we were first discussing where we would want to move I was leaning towards Wyoming, and now the more research that I do, I think that I really want to move to St George. In St George, Correy would be able to continue doing HVAC work and could still possibly open his own branch of High Tech Comfort in a few years. Also, there are more housing options, in our price range, that we could bring our puppies. We are hoping to rent a two bedroom house, that has a yard for the dogs. I have seen a few that I like a lot. We really want a two bedroom because if we have family come and visit we would like to be able to accommodate them instead of having them stay in a hotel. Also I think it would be nice to make it into a office too. Because we no

I am ready for life to slow down

So as the semester drags on I get more and more stressed out about grades and finals and basically everything in between. Now I only have two weeks left so I am coming to the home stretch. And after all my finals are over we have the Romrell Family Camp Out. I am way excited to be able to see my niece Presley, she is so gosh darn cute. And then the next weekend I have my mom and baby brother coming up to visit me so I am sure it will prove to be a really hectic week. But today, it's Correy and my three month anniversary, yes we are acting like high schoolers and celebrating the months. For our anniversary I got him a Spud Light Year, because if you know us we love potato heads and plan on collecting as many as possible. And then tonight we are attending a Date Night Glow in the Dark Ropes course at BYUI, and super excited about it but at the same time we aren't sure what to expect. But I will just have to blog about that later. Correy and I are also exploring the options of mov

What an Exciting Week we have Ahead of Us

So the past few weeks have been just hectic with school, work and everything else. The internet has been "not" working for the past few weeks. I just think that the guy up stairs is lying to us. And well that creates a major problem for me, I am taking three classes online so internet is an essential. So we have been camping out at Correy's parents house. I miss sleeping in my own bed. But last weekend we went out to Rock Springs, Wyoming for my niece's first birthday. She is just the cutest thing ever.We had such a good time seeing them, I wish we lived closer and could see them more. It made me really want to move there. We even went to the "races", which was way fun I have never watched a car race. And yesterday I was trying to convince Correy that we should buy these front row tickets to Brian Regan, because I know how much Correy likes him. And he tried to tell me that he didnt really want to go and basically wanted me to drop it but I wouldnt. And so h

Dinner, a Success and Failure

So last night I decided to try out a new recipe, I made pulled pork with a root beer sauce and man it was so good. Just heavenly. And then I thought I should make chocolate chip cookies for dessert. And I thought I could one up it and make heart shaped. It took me like a half hour to shape them all. And then as I was stirring the sauce Correy got home and tasted the sauce he agreed it was heavenly. And then asked what was in the oven, cuz he noticed it was on. then I was like crap, and when we opened the oven smoke began to fill the room and blacker then black little hearts came out. And Correy couldn't help but laugh. He said it was such a sweet and loving gesture that turned into something that seemed more of hate ( black little burned hearts) So he took them outside, and Buddy liked them, surprisingly. So my first time burning something as a newly wed and I wish my last but I know that that isn't the case.

Girls Day Out, Boys Day In

So today Pickles and I had a mommy daughter day. We went to all her favorite stores. First to PetSmart. We had to get some Puppy food cuz they were all out and of course a new chew toy because big brother ate her's. Then off to Petco the best place on earth. Where Pickles picked out her own stuffed animal, it was a little monkey that was pink, green and white striped. And it squeaks! What more could a girl ask for, she was carrying it all over the store. And then of course we had to get something for big brother, so we picked out a circle tug a war rope with a tennis ball, and man did she enjoy that. WE put it around her neck and Buddy had a hay day when we got home. Then we had to check the discount section and there was a pink snuggy, medium size, for 70 cents!!!! Of course we got it even though it is big cuz she will grow into it, and so we now will have to find buddy a blue one, and one for mommy and daddy too. Well that was out day out on the town. And tonight Correy and I hav

Almost Two months

Image
So we have been married almost two months. And my goal of having everything organized has not exactly been accomplished. But it is slowly getting closer. I just have put my main focus on school lately and haven't been getting around to all that I had planned on. But we do have a new addition to the family. Her name is Pickles Pie Romrell, she is almost three months and is a hound mix puppy. See her cute little dress we got her. Correy wont let me dress up Buddy and so I shall dress up my baby girl. And last weekend Correy got me on a dirt bike. We rode out to the desert and had a picnic. It was so much fun and now I tell him that we need dirt bikes, so maybe they will be in our future but we shall see. Correy and I have finally put up a fence right outside the door, so the puppies have a place to run. They kept finding a way out so we were keeping them chained up. But yesterday I think I finally fixed the problem. Although Pickles always finds a way to get the chain off, but her co

Married Life

Image
So we have been married a month now and things are starting to get back to normal, I am going to school two days a week and Correy works. Our house hasn't been perfectly clean but it is getting there, every time I get close we end up unpacking more stuff, so my goal is by two month to have everything organized. We both just got mountain bikes, and are planning on getting into shape together. We went on a bike die yesterday with our nephew, through the junk yard and our bikes got way muddy, but Alex had a blast. A few weeks ago we found out that our dog is a pansy, we tried to take him swimming and he let us know that he doesn't swim. We had taken him down the dock and then Correy pushed him in, and he immediately tried to pull himself up on the dock. He couldn't do it so he just sat there. And he wouldnt even swim to the shore where we stood

The Very End of our Honeymoon

Image
So after Disneyland we went to my parents house to pack up some things before heading out, we wanted to get to Vegas and then the next night go home but we left late and so we stayed at the Gold Strike. Here are Correy and I sitting in the Miner's pan, right on top of the "Do Not Sit On Miner's Pan" Sign. I know such rebels. Then after sleeping in till almost noon we headed into Vegas to go to the strip. We went to the M&M factory, see the marvelous car? And we bought M&M's in our wedding colors, man are they yummy, and they came in a fancy bag. After we stopped in the Coke Factory, where Correy bought a tall glass of Coke and I bought a rather large bank. We know call that bank, The Baby Bottle, and we put our change in it and when it is full we will have a nice little savings for our future baby. Maybe enough to by the furniture needed for the nursery. Then we really didn't feel like driving home just yet so we stopped in Mesquite and this was the vi

Honeymoon-Day Two

Image
So the second day was also filled with Disneyland and California Adventures. It was fun to have a vacation that was ultimately stress free and just tons of fun. Here is me in front of the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor because every time that I have gone my mom me and Macy always take a picture in front of it, but this time I was a Romrell Girl. And here Correy and I are with our good pal Pluto, we just barley got to take a picture with him before he had to leave to get a doggy treat. See how tall Correy is? His head is hitting the shady thing, and do you notice the baby flower in my hair? My hubby put that there. Oh and see our cool Bride and Groom shirts? Correy had them two sets made so we could be matchy on our honeymoon. Isn't that the cutest cookie you have ever seen? Also probably the most expensive one that we have ever bought, but man it was so yummy, and we were only eating one meal at the park so we figured we could afford to splurg on some expensive cookies. And these wer

The Honeymoon Day 1

Image
Well the pictures sort of uploaded backward so I can tell you our day backwards, we at California Adventures we found a build your own potato head so Correy and I both decided to build our own potato heads, see all the parts we each shoved into a box? Here is us at the happiest place on earth. Right infront of the castle, just beautiful, did you know you can actually get married in front of the castle, but that is like only if you are way rich. Here is us on the bus from the hotel to Disneyland!!! Yay dont we look bright eyed and bushey tailed Oh and on our wedding night we decided to go to Ihop before calling it a night, isnt that great?

April 9th-Drive and Reception

Image
So that morning we had just not found the time to eat so we thought that we would take a little pit stop, so we stopped for a bite to eat . . . at Mc Donald's, and when we walked in the manager asked us what the occasion was and we were like we just got married. And then he took our order but not our money! Yay us free food. See the picture? Aren't we the coolest? Well then it was off to the church building. Our reception was everything that one could hope for. From our perfect Shoes to our perfect cake topper, to yummy cake and beautiful decorations. Then of course doing the bouquet and garder toss was just super fun not to mention shoving cake in each others face. Oh cant forget the car and how beautiful it was decorated.

April 9th-The Wedding Day

Image
So its been a while but I am determined to catch up on all the missed events. So on the day of the wedding I got up a little before six to shower as my mom, dad, and siblings were leaving to go down to LA to pick up the flowers. After my shower I woke Correy up so he could start getting ready as I blow dried my hair. Then a lady from my ward, Joann Turley came over to do my hair and what a life saver she was. She then cut Correy's hair, which was a lifesaver too cuz we just did not have the time before to get it down. I finished up my make up and we headed out around 7 30 as we had planned so that we had an extra half hour in case of traffic. Got there in plenty of time and proceeded with paperwork and then we went our separate ways to get dressed. When I got to the Brides room I was stunned, it was so beautiful. I wish I could have taken a pic it was just so perfect. They gave me a silk white robe to change into and then a lady entered the room and started to hug my mom and it was

Finalizing Everything

Image
So Monday all the finalizing of plans began. My mom and I started the day out by going down to the flower mart in LA. When we got there we began to look for orchids for our centerpieces. We found double stemmed white ones that we thought would be perfect for the tables and then picked out a few purple ones that would go on the sign in tables. They are absolutely gorgeous, as long as we don't kill them before Friday. Here is the purple one. And then as we continued to look at more of the flowers we found these roses that were so cool! I totally want them as my toss bouquet, it would be different then any other bouquet. So we accomplished our mission of finding centerpieces so we decided it was time to head back to Santa Clarita to find vases and go to the party store for ups, plates, ect. And as we walked back to the car we went in a little shop that had tirras and I found the perfect one that had crystals and pearls. Today I have been making heart shape confetti that is purple and

Blizzard oh boy!

So a lot has been going on the past few days and everything has been just so hectic. On Thursday I went in and took the skilled test portion of my driving test and passed with flying colors only missing one about open range. I guess I just haven't been in Idaho long enough to fully understand what it is. And then we went shopping at Walmart and I decided to make Correy an Easter basket because it is our first Easter together, well more so first Easter apart since he is still at home and I am down in California getting ready for the wedding. I made it all up cute, in a basket and hide it in the closet for him to find. Then we were so excited that we stayed up till like 2 watching Tv before we crashed. Then Friday was another hectic but very exciting day. So we got up early and Correy headed off to work and I started to get ready to head into town. Suzi, Correy's mom and I all went into town when I went to take my driver's test and I passed with flying colors! YAY ME! Then it

Things I Should Blog About

Image

Registries, to Read or Not to Read?

So when you register for you wedding and then it starts to get closer to your wedding and you know people have bought things off of it should you look at it or resist? I feel like a child snooping for their Christmas presents, except I know exactly where they are. Is it normal to want to look at your registries day and night to see if anyone bought anything else? I mean it is not like you will open the presents in front of your guests so you dont have to act surprised. And if you registered for something at more then one store because you really want it, if you see that you already got one, then you can take it off your registry so that you dont get multiples and have even more to take back. Or is that just how I am trying to justify it? And I just realized that I didn't register for any glasses, or cups, so I have to go on at least one so that I can add some. Wow it is almost like torture deciding to peek at my presents or not, but then at the same time no one will know and when i

10 Days and Everything is Coming Together

Married life is coming up and I am surprisingly calm about it, I feel like the transition is going to go over easier then expected. My thoughts are turning from wedding planning to house decorating. I have decided on the colors of each room and I have started to picture what each room will look like. We got a black bedroom set a few months ago off of Craigslist for 75 dollars and it is the coolest. There is a headboard which connects to the night stands, both of which have a shelve above that goes across the top, with the back of it a mirror, and also a wardrobe came with it, and one one side of the wardrobe is a full length mirror. So in that room we have decided to do reds and deep purples, but mostly reds. Then in the bathroom, our two towel colors are like an eggplant and a sage green, so we thought they would be perfect together. But of course purple and green together is hard to find in bathroom accessories, so we decided brown and green are great together. Then the kitchen color

11 DAYS

Wow it is really coming up fast. Yesterday we got our table linens all taken care of and they matched perfectly. We also got our temple recommends so we will be going to the temple on Friday, and then I leave Saturday morning for California so that I will be there for my bridal shower that evening. And before then I still need my hair dyed and to get my drivers license and I would like to get my nails done before I leave, we have so much to do in so little time, but it will get done one way or another, I am just trying to not get overwhelmed with everything and go with the flow. I think I will enjoy my wedding more if I try not to stress about it. But as of now I think everything will get done.

The Best Saturday Ever!

Image
So what a crazy and fun Saturday I had. We started the day by getting up early for a dress fitting. June was so amazing. She marked the dress and had it finished before I got home that evening, she even had to undo beadwork and move it up on the dress, and in the end it looked better then before. And after the fitting Correy and I hit the road for Rexburg to go to my cousin's birthday party. It was so much fun. We played brute ball, which is an intense, full contact sport. I was afraid at first but as the game went on I loved it and it was so much fun, but tiring at the same time. We were all exhausted and the party came to a close so I text my old roommate to see what she was up to and she said that she was by Kmart and was going to the dollar tree for boxes. I asked her if she needed a ride home and she said that she was fine. But I took that as come and find me, so Correy and I did. We found her and her new roommate at the clothing store by the dollar tree, they hadn't exac
