Things I Should Blog About

Image
We finally have our honeymoon planned My biggest fear is I will forget the camera I am going to the temple on Friday I am looking for a new job I am going to dye my hair back to it's natural color My roots look darker then I thought my hair was I should take before and after shots of my hair I really should pick up knitting again I have a Twitter account that I don't know how to use I love Spring!

Registries, to Read or Not to Read?

So when you register for you wedding and then it starts to get closer to your wedding and you know people have bought things off of it should you look at it or resist? I feel like a child snooping for their Christmas presents, except I know exactly where they are. Is it normal to want to look at your registries day and night to see if anyone bought anything else? I mean it is not like you will open the presents in front of your guests so you dont have to act surprised. And if you registered for something at more then one store because you really want it, if you see that you already got one, then you can take it off your registry so that you dont get multiples and have even more to take back. Or is that just how I am trying to justify it? And I just realized that I didn't register for any glasses, or cups, so I have to go on at least one so that I can add some. Wow it is almost like torture deciding to peek at my presents or not, but then at the same time no one will know and when i

10 Days and Everything is Coming Together

Married life is coming up and I am surprisingly calm about it, I feel like the transition is going to go over easier then expected. My thoughts are turning from wedding planning to house decorating. I have decided on the colors of each room and I have started to picture what each room will look like. We got a black bedroom set a few months ago off of Craigslist for 75 dollars and it is the coolest. There is a headboard which connects to the night stands, both of which have a shelve above that goes across the top, with the back of it a mirror, and also a wardrobe came with it, and one one side of the wardrobe is a full length mirror. So in that room we have decided to do reds and deep purples, but mostly reds. Then in the bathroom, our two towel colors are like an eggplant and a sage green, so we thought they would be perfect together. But of course purple and green together is hard to find in bathroom accessories, so we decided brown and green are great together. Then the kitchen color

11 DAYS

Wow it is really coming up fast. Yesterday we got our table linens all taken care of and they matched perfectly. We also got our temple recommends so we will be going to the temple on Friday, and then I leave Saturday morning for California so that I will be there for my bridal shower that evening. And before then I still need my hair dyed and to get my drivers license and I would like to get my nails done before I leave, we have so much to do in so little time, but it will get done one way or another, I am just trying to not get overwhelmed with everything and go with the flow. I think I will enjoy my wedding more if I try not to stress about it. But as of now I think everything will get done.

The Best Saturday Ever!

So what a crazy and fun Saturday I had. We started the day by getting up early for a dress fitting. June was so amazing. She marked the dress and had it finished before I got home that evening, she even had to undo beadwork and move it up on the dress, and in the end it looked better then before. And after the fitting Correy and I hit the road for Rexburg to go to my cousin's birthday party. It was so much fun. We played brute ball, which is an intense, full contact sport. I was afraid at first but as the game went on I loved it and it was so much fun, but tiring at the same time. We were all exhausted and the party came to a close so I text my old roommate to see what she was up to and she said that she was by Kmart and was going to the dollar tree for boxes. I asked her if she needed a ride home and she said that she was fine. But I took that as come and find me, so Correy and I did. We found her and her new roommate at the clothing store by the dollar tree, they hadn't exac

Crazy Day

Image
So many things to do and so many things done. Yesterday Correy and I got our shoes for the wedding and they are perfect. And then today I got my earrings and necklace in the mail, once again perfect in every way. The flowers are all ordered and they are going to look gorgeous. Mine will be 24 white roses, and the bridesmaids will have 8 or so. Just perfect. They will look like the one below except there will be a little bit of green flowers around the edge. Also both of our cakes are ordered and just need to be paid for. The one for our Idaho reception is going to be a three tiered, octagon shaped and look like the three middle layers of the cake below. That one is going to be cherry flavored. Then our reception in California will be a a square three tiered, and be marble cake with strawberry filling. Dont those just sound yummy? So today was a pretty crazy day, well afternoon. Correy came home from work and askedd me who's dog was outside and I said Buddy is outside isn't he.

Buddy and Alex and Training

So this week I am helping watch my 3 year old nephew while his parents take a trip to Nebraska. I thought this week would help Buddy, my 6 month old puppy learn how he is to act around children, since one day I will have my own and what him to be good with kids. Now he has been around kids a lot but never really ones he is basically the same size as, and defiantly weighs more. So the first few days went great, of course there was the occasional fighting over toys because Buddy is not use to not all the toys being his. Also Buddy seemed to take the abuse of a three year old well. Alex would hit him, jump on him, and Buddy just took it, a few times Buddy just seemed to get tired of him and jump on the bed and sit with me. Then on Monday Alex was running around outside with Buddy, and Buddy recognized this as a time to play. And the way he plays with Snickers, another dog in the house, is defiantly different then how we want him to play with Alex. So he started nibbling on Alex's clo

Time is Running Out

Down to 18 days before the wedding, and 12 days till I leave for California. So much more done but yet so much more to do. Today my wedding topper finally came in the mail and it is perfect!!! All of my envelopes are now addressed either send or soon to be in the mailbox. Still waiting for my earrings and necklace from ebay, hopefully they will be here soon. Heather's Maid of Honor dress fit perfectly, no alterations needed, my mom said that she would take care of the one dress we have left. Oh and some of the most amazing news yet, Correy and I got a two night stay free at a hotel across from Disneyland, so it looks like we are going to Disneyland for our honeymoon, and then probably stopping in Vegas on the way home. So it seems like everything is falling into place as the wedding approaches. Still a lot to do though, have to buy the cake server, our shoes, Correy's tux, and the flower girl dress. But all and all I feel good about everything and know that it is all going to w

The Count Down is on

Last night I went into town to continue my search for envelopes that weren't going to cost more then the invitations themselves. We looked at Staples, too expensive, then we looked at Sam Club, nope have to order them and they could take ten days and we just don't have that. Then we went to our beloved Walmart hoping that they wouldn't let us down. And low and behold they had the lowest prices yet again. It was 6.47 for every 50. now we needed about three hundred and we realized that it would still be kind of costly but we need some envelopes that I could start addressing, so we bought 2 packs and headed home. When we got home we went on ebay and found envelopes in a hundred pack for 4 dollars and so we immediately ordered 2 packs and we figure by the time I address the first hundred, stuff them, seal them, and buy and put stamps on them I will have the next 200 to do. So the envelopes are another one knocked out, and our bigger problem . . . the dress. So this morning I

The Dress Hunt

So after seeing a bunch of friends starting to blog, I figure it must be fun. And they say I should defiantly get one after I get married so why not start a month before, the most stressful time for a bride. At first it was a struggle to pick the date, the place, the time, the bare necessities of planning a wedding. Once that was done it seemed like everything was falling into place. I picked out a dress I liked, flower arrangements, drew out a cake and began looking at decorations I liked. Ya every once in a while I would think about the money and tell myself no worries I am doing a cheap simple wedding. I mean we had Correy's brother doing our pictures, and his sister in law doing my hair, that cuts major costs. Then at the end of February Jake's camera got stolen, I thought oh crap what are we going to do for pictures, then I was informed that he had insurance and would soon be getting another, so once again the stress disappeared. Then within a week Jake and Melanie, my ph
