Family Proclamation Project Update 3

This page is an oven that will open and there are cookies that you can put inside the oven, and next to this page will be a pan to put the cookies on. I am also going to number the cookies so that counting and number recognition are used. I remember loving to bake Christmas cookies with my mom, we would spend all day in the kitchen talking and baking.   Time to Pray, is a clock that I cam going to add hands to that move so that kids can work on telling time. There is a quote on the bottom that I am debating changing to "Anytime is a good time to pray" For family work I did this washing machine that will open up and I will have some laundry that can be sorted and loaded. I am thinking of doing different colored shirts or socks and had a matching game next to it to, maybe matching them on a clothes line. This project is taking a lot of time but I cant wait to see how it looks when I am done, and it is going to be the perfect present for my kids.

The last few weeks I have taken the time to think out and design my next set of pages but I haven't actually embroidered them. I am not too concerned with falling behind because once all the designing is done, actually doing the pages is easy. Here are my pictures of my next pages   Now my last pages is tricky and I havent found a way to design it on the embroidery machine so I may freehand sew it. But it is intended to be eternal marriage and a temple. I was going to do a bride and groom but I think i want to do a family in white to represent adopted children.

I decided that since I have a 2, 4 and 5 year old, that I wanted to make something that was for Preschool to Kindergarten range. At first I thought I would compile family home evening lessons. Then I saw the suggestion of a children's book and thought that could be fun. And in my mind when you combine a children's book and lessons, you get an activity book. So I decided that that is what I was going to do. I also got to use my creativity, and my sewing and embroidery machine which is a huge hobby of mine. So far I have completed 3 pages. I am liking the way they turned out. The one thing that I want to add to them is, putting a quote from "The Family Proclamation" on the bottom of each page so that the book will still be educational as my kids are older.  This f
