Our Puppy's Hospital Visit

So on Friday when I was driving home from work I was thinking about how I was going to have my full attention on Waffles and potty training her and getting her to understand simple commands. So when I got home I went to the back door to let her in and she was laying in her dog house and didnt want to come out. When I opened the door and called her she came over to me slowly. She looked deathly skinny and I know she wasnt like that yesterday and I called Correy to ask him if he forgot to feed her or something and he said that he fed her. So I decided to try and feed her again. She ate slowly and couldnt really stay standing and was really worrying me. I was hoping all she needed was some food and water and she would be back to her old self. But she only seemed to be getting worse so I called the vet and they said that it might be parvo and to bring her in right away. I hurried and gathered up some stuff and drove to the vet. They ran the parvo test and the good new is it wasnt parvo, bu...

Fall is Coming to an End

October 22-24 So we were lucky enough to go to Wyoming for a weekend to see Amber, Justin, Presly and Suzi and Alex were there too. We basically spent the week visiting with one another and we also went to go see the movie, Life as We Know it, which I totally recommend. Although Presly did the cutest thing when we were riding home from Ihop. Presly was sitting in her car seat playing with her shoe, and Justin changed the radio station from country to rap, and Presley immediately looked up and then started bobbing her head like crazy, it was so funny. Halloween!!!! So if you didnt know Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love all the fall colors and the pumpkins. I really went crazy when decorating. I got pumpkin soap and cream to put in the bathroom along with a rubber duck dressed as a pumpkin. Although it also was kind of sad because Halloween is a kids holiday and since our nephew moved away we dont have any small children to take trick or treating. I think that it will defiantly be...

Buddy and Alex and Training

So this week I am helping watch my 3 year old nephew while his parents take a trip to Nebraska. I thought this week would help Buddy, my 6 month old puppy learn how he is to act around children, since one day I will have my own and what him to be good with kids. Now he has been around kids a lot but never really ones he is basically the same size as, and defiantly weighs more. So the first few days went great, of course there was the occasional fighting over toys because Buddy is not use to not all the toys being his. Also Buddy seemed to take the abuse of a three year old well. Alex would hit him, jump on him, and Buddy just took it, a few times Buddy just seemed to get tired of him and jump on the bed and sit with me. Then on Monday Alex was running around outside with Buddy, and Buddy recognized this as a time to play. And the way he plays with Snickers, another dog in the house, is defiantly different then how we want him to play with Alex. So he started nibbling on Alex's clo...
