Family Proclamation Project

Image
For one of my classes this semester I have a project that I am going to be working on all semester. We were given a wide variety of options of how we wanted to present it and what was our targeted audience. I decided that since I have a 2, 4 and 5 year old, that I wanted to make something that was for Preschool to Kindergarten range. At first I thought I would compile family home evening lessons. Then I saw the suggestion of a children's book and thought that could be fun. And in my mind when you combine a children's book and lessons, you get an activity book. So I decided that that is what I was going to do. I also got to use my creativity, and my sewing and embroidery machine which is a huge hobby of mine. So far I have completed 3 pages. I am liking the way they turned out. The one thing that I want to add to them is, putting a quote from "The Family Proclamation" on the bottom of each page so that the book will still be educational as my kids are older.  This f...

California Trip Part 1

Image
Keegan got to meet Kira, he loved her and she was unsure about him, especially since he picked up a pipe and hit her with it to say hello.  I dont know how well you can read that sign but it was just notifying you that Disneyland causes Cancer, so now we know the world is ending, when the happiest place on earth causes cancer.  Last month we went to California for a week, and we decided to brave the car ride down with Keegan and he did get till the last 3 hours turned into 6 because of traffic. And then he hated his caar seat for a few weeks after. The first full day we had in California we took Keegan to his first trip to Disneyland. Everyone said we were crazy for taking him but we have gone the last two years so it isnt something super special for us. And Keegan loved, he tried so hard not to sleep the whole time we were there. This is a picture of him on the tram ride to Disneyland he was so excited, squealing the whole ride, and yet he had no idea what w...

4th of July

Image
So once again it has been two months without posting and Keegan is growing fast. For 4th of July he was 7 month, crawling as fast as possible and starting to pull up on things. Here is a picture of him in his 4th of July outfit waving his flag that he took from Sears.  Instead of braving the 4th of July traffic this year, we decided to bike. We recently got Keegan a bike trailer and he loves it, but he does hate his helmet, but what kid doesn't. We parked about a half a mile away and then packed up the trailer with Keegan, toys, a picnic dinner, and blankets. We biked around for a while and Keegan ended up falling asleep. We got a perfect spot to watch the fireworks, right next to the temple and directly across the river is where they light them off. Here is a picture of Keegan in the bike trailer, trying to figure out how to take off his helmet. Keegan was really excited to eat a lunchable, until he saw mommy and daddy had candy. He started to get antsy right before th...

Time to lose that Baby Weight

So I finally feel like I have the time and energy to workout, and lose the extra weight I put on with Keegan. We had bought P90X a few weeks back and have just not had the time to do and. And this week I decided that I can keep making excuses or I can buckle down and do it. So I have told myself that I cannot shower until I have down my P90X workout. Well if I am leaving the house I really want to shower so that is motivation alone. Today was day 3 and I am sore but not so sore I cant move, it makes me want to work even harder tomorrow, cuz if I am not sore I feel like I am not working hard enough. I will be able to do 3 weeks of workouts before going to California and I hope to be down 7 pounds. I dont know if that is aiming too high, but mostly I want to lose some inches and fit into my cute capris. It is suppose to be a 20 day program and I would love to lose 25 pounds but if I dont I will just do another 90 days and so on till I meet my goal. I was going to share pictures and my w...

Updates on Keegan

Image
So much has happened to Keegan in these 6 months. We brought home a beautiful healthy boy just a few days after he was born. We ended up having an emergency c section and so my recover took a lot longer then expected. Correy was such a wonderful dad from day one. Early on he took on doing all the night shifts since I couldn't get out of bed by myself so he had to get up even if it was my turn. By 2 weeks Keegan would sleep 4 hours at a time. So we fed him at midnight, went to bed, fed him at 4 and then Correy would get up and feed him at 8 before going to work and that didn't last long, cuz at 2 months Keegan started sleeping through the night. When Keegan was 2 months old we moved to Shelley, we found a great 2 bedroom apartment that was a great price. And we love it here. I started to go back to the triplets when Keegan was about 6 weeks old, and I felt healed enough to be up on my feet more. Keegan has grown so much and so fast, we just had his 6 month appointment and he w...

Nursery Under Construction

Image
When I got home from California, the nursery was textured and ready for paint. On Friday after work, Correy primered the room so that it was all ready for paint. Saturday we had to go into town to get white paint for the ceiling and closet, and we got a paint that went on pink and dried white so that we would make sure that we weren't missing any spots. It was really cool but the pink doesn't really show up in pictures. But if you look close you may be able to tell that it has a pink tint to it. On Sunday, when we got home from Church we painted the nursery and I love the way that it turned out. Afterwards I was exhausted so I laid down and took a nap, while Correy helped his parents move furniture and when I woke up he was just moving the last bit of furniture. He decided he wasn't tired and was feeling rather productive so he swept the Nursery and started to lay down carpet, as he was getting to the end and just needed to to the closet I started vacuuming and by the time ...

Trip to California and Baby Shower

Image
The last Thursday of September I flew out to spend a week with my family since I wont see them again till the baby is born. That Friday I took my mom and sister out to get our nails done. I did french tip on my fingers and then a turquoise on my toes. I have never gotten a pedicure before and it was amazing, I wish that I could have one everyday. But I would have to be rich. Saturday was my baby shower, but I dont have any pictures of it yet. I got a lot of cute stuff. Then as a group gift I got the sleeper that I wanted to go beside my bed and my infant carrier, along with diapers and wipes. On Monday I went to see my grandparents and spend some time with them. It happened to be the time of year that their pears were ripe, so I got Parker to climb and the tree and get all the ones up high since I wasn't in a position to climb the tree. The last two years I haven't been able to be there when the pears were ripe so I was excited for it. Tuesday we spend running around town and s...
