Our Puppy's Hospital Visit

So on Friday when I was driving home from work I was thinking about how I was going to have my full attention on Waffles and potty training her and getting her to understand simple commands. So when I got home I went to the back door to let her in and she was laying in her dog house and didnt want to come out. When I opened the door and called her she came over to me slowly. She looked deathly skinny and I know she wasnt like that yesterday and I called Correy to ask him if he forgot to feed her or something and he said that he fed her. So I decided to try and feed her again. She ate slowly and couldnt really stay standing and was really worrying me. I was hoping all she needed was some food and water and she would be back to her old self. But she only seemed to be getting worse so I called the vet and they said that it might be parvo and to bring her in right away. I hurried and gathered up some stuff and drove to the vet. They ran the parvo test and the good new is it wasnt parvo, bu...

Thanksgiving

Image
So our Thanksgiving did not go as planned. Before we planned to go to Wyoming to be with Correy's sister and her family and then go down to Salt Lake for Black Friday shopping. Well the whole week of Thanksgiving it decided to snow, and snow hard. And it was only getting worse, especially the day before Thanksgiving and the roads to Wyoming got really bad and we would have been driving in the dark so we opted to stay home. Which meant a one day notice to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. So we ran to the store and bought the smallest turkey we could find, which was still 12 pounds, then bought rolls since I burned the ones I made the day before, ingredients for yams and potatoes and pumpkin pie, then cheesecake stuff, and of course the olives, cranberry, sauce, cheese log and some beverages. Then we just sat the turkey on the counter to thaw overnight, and of course we didnt read the directions on how to properly thaw the turkey. The next morning we got up around 8 or 9 and set to work,...

The Busy Month of November

So now it is half way through November and we still have yet to have snow that sticks, and only a few storms. When last year the first snow that stuck was in October. In a way it is good because of all the driving I have to do, and I have yet to buy snow boots and a snow coat. But I really want it to snow so that Correy and I can build a snowman, go sledding, and all those fun things you can do in the winter. Correy and I have been busy with work and plans for trying to remodel the basement. We finally have found a stove, which means we are going to be starting on the kitchen soon, but hopefully after we finish up a few more things. This weekend we really hope to at least get the bathroom painted. So we will see how it goes. Next Wednesday we will be leaving for Wyoming for Thanksgiving. And so this will be my first Thanksgiving away from my family and the first one as a married women who has to make food. So we will see how it goes. Then we are going Black Friday shopping in Salt Lake...

Fall is Coming to an End

October 22-24 So we were lucky enough to go to Wyoming for a weekend to see Amber, Justin, Presly and Suzi and Alex were there too. We basically spent the week visiting with one another and we also went to go see the movie, Life as We Know it, which I totally recommend. Although Presly did the cutest thing when we were riding home from Ihop. Presly was sitting in her car seat playing with her shoe, and Justin changed the radio station from country to rap, and Presley immediately looked up and then started bobbing her head like crazy, it was so funny. Halloween!!!! So if you didnt know Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love all the fall colors and the pumpkins. I really went crazy when decorating. I got pumpkin soap and cream to put in the bathroom along with a rubber duck dressed as a pumpkin. Although it also was kind of sad because Halloween is a kids holiday and since our nephew moved away we dont have any small children to take trick or treating. I think that it will defiantly be...

Weekend in Provo

Image
So this last weekend was the first weekend that Correy and I have spent our married life away from each other. He went hunting with some friends and since I didnt want to be home alone I thought that it was the perfect day to go down to Provo to see my best friend every. This was also my first time driving a distance by myself. The drive went smoothly and I was cutting time and thought that I would be there in no time. And as soon as I got 10 miles out of town I hit the construction and so the last ten miles of my trip took me 40 minutes to drive. But finally I got there. And I got IN N OUT, yum something I have been craving and so excited to get. Then later that night I went to Provo Canyon with Heather and some friend, and then some random people where we started a bonfire and made smores. Then around 12:30 a popo showed up and told us that the park closed 3 hours ago, when really it closed at 11. So we had to put out the fire when we had no water . . . lets just say that we found a ...

Finally getting around to updating everything

Image
So much has been going on and my time has been spent doing so much. So we are all moved in, well sort of, as much as we can right now. The bedroom is all unpacked and we have made one of the bedrooms into an office with our computers and printer and stuff. But also it has become out storage room with a bunch of our boxes, mainly kitchen stuff and memorabilia and craft things. Our kitchen consists of a fridge, microwave, conventional oven, small counter space and a bunch of boxes. Right now the search is on for cheap kitchen cabinets that we can find second hand. And then a dishwasher and a oven. The bathroom was the first thing we set up, with a new sink and counter space, which is great because our washer and dryer is right there and it makes folding clothes so much easier. See how beautiful. And under the counter where there is nothing in the picture I have put a basket for all of our cleaning supplies. We bought a greenish color of paint to paint the bathroom area, but first we hav...

Week with the Family (August 3-7)

Image
Week with the Family (August 3rd to 7th) So life has been hectic and not having internet at our apartment has made it hard to keep up with blogging. But not I will have internet all the time, YIPPEE!!!! Well at the beginning of the month I had my family come and visit. My mom and little brother, Parker came up on Tuesday afternoon after dropping my sister off at EFY in Provo. When they got here, Correy and I took them out to Chinese for lunch, and then Correy went back to work as we went to the Potato Museum. Which was way fun, I love it there, it is my favorite Museum ever. Then we came home and kind of just relaxed, Parker played the Xbox which he loved. And then when we were getting a little bored we went out and fed the horses. Which they got a kick out of because in California you dont normally have horses in your backyard. Then Wednesday we had a big day. We drove into Idaho Falls for the day. We started off with going to the zoo which I had never been to. I...
