Last Month's Fun

Image
So I ended up winning Gender Wars on the radio and I got a 25 dollar gift card to a Japanese Sushi and Steak House. I got Hibachi chicken which was so yummy and it was great to watch them cook right in front of you, and Correy got Shrimp Tempura Sushi, and we kind of shared, no worries the sushi was completely cooked. I went to Twin Falls with Correy on Wednesday cuz he had a few hours of work in Jerome and then we headed into Twin Falls to do some shopping. Then Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon we watched the triplets and it was fun yet exhausting. On Friday we took them to the Zoo and then to Cragios, since they were free to eat and I had a coupon for Correy and I and it is like my all time favorite place to eat. The girls really took to Correy, it was cute they were always holding his hand or wanting to be held.

Nursery Under Construction Update

Image
Correy finished the drywalling of the nursery after a long couple days of work, and I wish that meant we were done. He started the mudding and got pretty far but we still have to do some sanding and possibly some touch up work before we can texture. Hopefully we can get texture done in the next few weeks and then the walls painted and I think it will start looking more like a nursery and less like a construction zone.

Baby Update

Image
I am now 25 weeks and starting to really get a huge belly, and the baby is gaining half a pound a week, I feel like he is going to be hear in no time. So we went in for our 24 week appointment, it was a quick one. They checked his heartbeat which is really strong, and they measured my belly and it looks like he is growing on track. I go back in for my 28 week appointment in 3 weeks and I get to take the glucose tolerance test, and hopefully I will pass so that I dont have to have it again. And at that point I will be in my 3rd trimester so I will be going in every 2 weeks, I already feel like I go there so often, and then soon after that every week, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't live an hour away. Pictures of me at 24 weeks with baby Keegan (and not wearing maternity shirt or dress; I don't think that will last much longer)

Baby Update

So I have been really bad about updating do to being busy and technically issues. We had our 20 week appointment on July 29th and it went really well. Keegan was moving all around, almost a little too much, and the tech was getting mad at him for not staying still so that she could get her measurements. He is measuring 3 days ahead like he was before and was weighing 12 ounces. Everything looked great, we have a video of him moving around like crazy and all of our pics are kind of blurry so i am glad that we did the private ultrasound at 16 weeks, we got better pictures at that one. There was one thing that concerned them, which was that my cervix was only measuring at 2.23 cm, when it should have been 3 to 4 cm. Which meant that I was now high risk for preterm labor. (I think I wished for a November baby a little too hard.) She told me we would recheck at my next appointment, put me on pelvic rest and told me to take it easy. Here is a picture of me at 20 weeks, getting bigger, but no...

Nursery Under Construction

Image
So we began construction on the nursery. But before we could start we had the task of cleaning out the Nursery, which of course no one looked forward to. Here is some pictures of the nursery before we cleaned it out. And here is the closet, that we had to go through, sort, box up and move. But we did finally finish, and it only showed us how much work we had to do. Doesn't the closet look so big now that nothing is in it? So Correy started working on Drywall, I wanted to help but lets face it, I couldn't do anything but get in the way. After 12 hours of work he finally finished, I was surprised in took so long because he only had the closet, one wall and the ceiling, I would have hated to see him doing the whole room by himself.

IT'S A BOY!!

Image
So on Friday we went in for my 16 week appointment at the doctors office and his heart rate was at 150, and we could hear him moving around, he is such an active baby. And we had made an appointment with a ultrasound clinic in Salt Lake to figure out the gender on Saturday. On saturday we got up early and drove down to Salt Lake, we stopped at Tremont around 11 to get some lunch before the appointment. And after we left and were about a half hour away, I realized I couldn't find my phone and we called it and I couldnt hear it in the car. Then some guy answered it, luckily it was the Wendy's manager and he said he would keep it in the safe till we came back for it, we couldn't turn around now to get it or we would be late for our appointment. So we continued on knowing that it was safe. We got to our appointment a little early so we got to be seen early. The ultrasound tech was an obgyn form Europe so that was really cool. First he showed us the baby's profile and kept g...

Oregon Trip

Image
So this last weekend Correy and I had a mini vacation to Oregon for my cousins wedding. I thought, 15 weeks pregnant, no biggy. Boy was I wrong. A few days before our trip, the bathroom became my home, I had to pee all the time, and we were about to take a 13 or 14 hour trip. YIKES!!!!! But then we plugged it into our gps and it only showed up as a 12 hour trip, and I just thought cool, 2 hours less in the car. Well we started our journey and by the time we got to boise we had already stopped 3 times, and we stopped in Boise for an hour since we had to go to the bank, get gas, eat, and pick up a few things at old navy. Then we were back on the road, the next major city was ontario, which was only 45 minutes out of Boise so we didnt stop cuz I didnt have to pee and we just got gas. MISTAKE NUMBER ONE. So we continue to follow the gps, and before long, we aare no longer on a highway and on a county road with no one else around. And then I have to pee, we end up going 160 miles before we ...
